Alice in Deep exists because people with something genuine to say are willing to say it carefully. We welcome submissions from writers, scholars, practitioners and artists whose work belongs in a serious journal of esoteric inquiry. We read every submission ourselves.
Considered pieces that explore a single idea with depth and patience. We value precision of thought over breadth of coverage.
Personal or phenomenological writing that documents inner experience with rigour and honesty, without sentimentality.
Careful work on Hermeticism, Freemasonry, Kabbalah, Neoplatonism, alchemy, or related traditions. Accessible but not superficial.
Original artwork, sacred geometry, esoteric illustration, or photography that speaks to the journal's themes without explanation.
Careful English translations of historical esoteric texts, with brief contextual notes. Source language expertise required.

We are a small publication run without institutional support. We read every submission with care and give each one our full attention. We ask in return that contributors have read the journal and understand its character before submitting. A piece written for Alice in Deep is different from a piece written for an academic journal or a general interest magazine — we hope the distinction is apparent in our pages.
The views expressed in contributed pieces are those of the individual authors and are not necessarily those of Alice in Deep, its editors, or its staff.
